Ganflec Architects and Engineers, Inc. Establishes South Plainfield Office

(South Plainfield, N.J.) Ganflec Architects and Engineers, Inc., a full-service multidiscipline consulting firm engaged in the practice of architectural building design and associated engineering, is pleased to announce the opening of its new South Plainfield, N.J., office.

Formed in 1978 as the architectural affiliate company of Gannett Fleming, Inc., an international planning, design, and construction management firm, Ganflec has designed a wide variety of building types for both private and public sector clients. These include banks, military facilities, corporate office buildings, distribution facilities, municipal buildings, retail stores, manufacturing centers, educational institutions, and religious facilities. The knowledge and diversity of the architects, engineers, and technicians on staff has enabled Ganflec to provide critical insight to clients and assist them during the planning, design, and construction phases of projects.

Harry T. Osborne, AIA
Harry T. Osborne, AIA

Harry T. Osborne, AIA, will serve as vice president and director of architecture. With more than 30 years of experience, Osborne will be responsible for project solicitation, feasibility studies, planning and conceptual design, project implementation and management, supervision of contract drawings and specifications, cost estimating, construction inspection, and commissioned value engineering studies.

Based in the South Plainfield office, Osborne holds a bachelor of environmental design and a master of architecture from Miami University. He is a registered architect in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, and Ohio and a licensed planner in New Jersey. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects, the National Council Architectural Registration Boards, and the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineers.

Andrew T. Balto, AIA
Andrew T. Balto, AIA

In addition, Andrew T. Balto, AIA, has joined Ganflec as a senior project architect in the South Plainfield office. He holds more than 20 years of experience in architectural design and construction. Balto holds a bachelor of architecture from New Jersey Institute of Technology and is a registered architect in New Jersey. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects and the National Council Architectural Registration Boards.

Ganflec is actively involved with several leading-edge projects. The firm’s expertise includes employing sustainability practices and the LEED® certification process, as well as 3D modeling and building information modeling (BIM).
