Kelton Pennock Water Transfer Facility
Owner: Chester Water Authority
Location: Chester, Pennsylvania
This water transfer facility features an architectural design that assimulates the complex pumping function into the rural environment. Local fieldstone and handmade brick were used to recall the native materials found on neighboring farm buildings. The design of the facility embraces the form, functionality, and detailing of the local 19th century agricultural structures.
The concrete substructure and masonry superstructure provides space for three horizontal centrifugal pumps.
