This project consisted of concurrently designing two new facilities
and the rehabilitation of the old headquarters building on the Air
Guard Base at Glenn Martin Airport. The Composite Support Facility
(CSF) primarily consisted of offices and training space, as well
as a telecommunications center with raised access floor and filtered
power. The Base Engineering Facility consisted of office space,
training room, workshops, and material storage for three civil engineering
flights. The primary design goal of the CSF was to provide a visual
focal point for base operations. The multifunctional facility is
identified as the main point of operations, designed to relate to
the existing architecture, but also establishing its own architectural
statement.
